Before the app, before the billions, before it became a household name — there was Antonio's Nut House, a beloved, beer-soaked dive bar in Palo Alto and a favorite haunt of the Stanford crowd.
In the spring of 2014, Vlad Tenev, Baiju Bhatt and their investor met at the Nut House and shook hands on a $13 million Series A — after some very intense negotiating over cheap beer. A 26-year-old Vlad insisted the company would be worth "not just billions, but dozens of billions."
Robinhood, more or less, was born on a bar tab. So we did the only reasonable thing: we minted the bar.
The Palo Alto dive bar where the whole thing went down. Peanuts on the floor, deals in the booth.
A Series A closed over beers in spring 2014 — no boardroom required.
A student-day favorite of the founders long before anyone was a billionaire.
Grumpy, nursing a cold one, unbothered by your portfolio. Long live the Nut House.
$NUTHOUSE is live on Robinhood Chain — Robinhood's own EVM Layer 2, where Uniswap is the house AMM. Four steps to a seat at the bar:
Add the network in one click via the official docs or Chainlist — Chain ID 4663. Gas is paid in ETH.
Grab ETH on any exchange, then move it to Robinhood Chain with the canonical bridge. Keep a little for gas.
Hit Uniswap on Robinhood Chain, swap ETH for the contract below, and you're in the House. Only trust the CA on this page & @_nuthouse_.
